Fundraising

Our last casino took place April 2026. Thank you to all the volunteers that supported this important  event!

Casino funding raises an average of $80,000 every two years, making it our most important fundraiser. These funds directly support your student through investments in:

• English/ELL & Lead books

• Math & science lab equipment

• Drama lights & sound

• Elder guest speakers

• Sports & fitness equipment

• Robotics & construction tools

• Sewing machines, photography equipment, and more

Each volunteer shift brings in approximately $2,000 for our school and it’s easier (and more fun!) than you might think. You’ll receive full training, work alongside other parents and community members, and enjoy a free meal during your shift.

Who can volunteer?

Anyone 18+ (no experience required). Volunteers can be parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends, or adult siblings. No police clearance is required.

Daytime, evening, and late-night shifts are available.

There are many ways you can contribute to our school’s success, and make a difference for our school and our students. At Henry Wise Wood, this can include providing in-kind donations, contributing cash and lending expertise and technical knowledge.
